👋 Good Morning!
The forecast is calling for some true winter weather over the next couple of days. Admittedly it would have been nice to have a warm, sunny afternoon for the AFC Championship like back in 2016, but I can’t help but feel that this is exactly what playoff games are supposed to look like.
Grab some extra layers and let’s roll. Broncos Country has never been scared of the cold.

4 keys for the Broncos in the AFC Championship

(Imagn)
It’s all on the line this weekend.
One more win and the Denver Broncos are Super Bowl bound. One more loss and the party comes to a sobering end.
Here are some keys for the Broncos in Sunday’s AFC Championship matchup against New England.
Win the turnover battle
The Broncos have forced seven turnovers over the last two weeks and it’s probably the biggest reason why Denver secured the 1-seed and then advanced past the Divisional Round.
The Pats have put the ball on the ground a lot lately. Take advantage of that trend.
Stop the run
Buffalo out-schemed Denver in the run game and it’s what kept the Bills in it despite the turnovers.
He’s a hell of a young quarterback but you have got to make Drake Maye beat you through the air on a cold day.
Get Sutton the ball
I know that Courtland Sutton had some untimely drops late against the Bills. With a backup QB out there, though, you need to trust your most proven wide receiver to step up in this game.
Stay true to who you are
Jarrett Stidham said all of the right things at the podium yesterday. One of his comments that really stood out was how it doesn’t benefit him to try and do it all alone or play the game any differently than he would in any other scenario.

The Avalanche lost an extremely annoying game against the Ducks last night in which Colorado out-shot Anaheim 41-17.
PS I’ve said this before but the Avs are as bad at 3v3 overtime as they are good at real hockey. They’re even worse in shootouts.

The Nuggets could really use a couple of guys to return to the lineup. Obviously they miss Nikola Jokić but it takes a toll when you’ve consistently been down 2-3 players at a time.

Did you check out the latest episode of X’s & O’s with Dave Logan and Bennie Fowler. Don’t miss out on the smartest show in Broncos Country.
