4 potential trade targets for the Denver Broncos ahead of the deadline

The NFL trade deadline is fast approaching and the big question around Broncos Country is whether or not Denver is going to make a move.

While I don’t think a major trade is needed or that the Broncos should move a ton of assets right now — I’d rather see George Paton get to use future picks in the draft than move them for a short-term rental — it’s always fun to think about hypothetical deals.

Here are a couple of potential trade targets for the Broncos ahead of next week’s deadline.

Brian Thomas Jr. (WR) | Jacksonville

Travis Hunter is the future and Thomas hasn’t been happy with the Jaguars. My guess is that he’d cost more than the Broncos are willing to give up, but he showed last season how dangerous he can be. I like how the young guys are progressing at receiver, so it’s not a major need. But stacking weapons around a QB on his rookie deal is never a bad idea.

Mark Andrews (TE) | Baltimore

Andrews is aging and the Broncos already brought in Marcedes Lewis, but I like the idea of adding another tight end who can make an impact as a receiver. His targets have decreased over the years but he’s coming off a season with 11 receiving touchdowns. He could be a nice little security blanket for Bo Nix in the Red Zone.

Trey Hendrickson (DE) | Cincinnati

The Bengals just lost to the Jets and Zac Taylor very well could be on the hot seat. If they’re willing to move him for cheap, adding Hendrickson to a defense that’s already been the best pressure unit in the league could be a fun rental scenario. You can never have too many pass-rushers.

Breece Hall (RB) | New York

Denver has a good thing going with JK Dobbins and RJ Harvey, so running back isn’t exactly a need. If the Broncos wanted to add another proven guy to the room, though, Hall is reportedly available.
