👋 Good Morning!
Big box stores pretty much go from Halloween season to Christmas season these days. I’m always impressed with how efficiently they transition the decorations and candy.
While it might not have the status of the aforementioned holidays, I’ve always argued Thanksgiving is underrated. A day full of football and food? I’m in.
I don’t want to get away from sports too much, but I do know that the holidays can be tough on some folks. Always remember you have a community that cares about you, and don’t be afraid to lean on it if you’re struggling. From everyone at DNVR, have a great week.

Aaron Gordon injury to test the new-found depth of the Nuggets

(Imagn)
The Nuggets did a great job of bolstering the roster over the offseason. Unfortunately that doesn’t matter much when 40% of the starting lineup is injured and out for weeks at a time.
After already losing Christian Braun with a sprained ankle about a week ago, we found out over the weekend that Aaron Gordon is now going to miss at least 4-6 weeks with a hamstring issue.
The silver lining is that it’s early enough in the year that there should still be plenty of time for the starting five to find its rhythm again later on in the season. But there’s definitely more pressure on guys like Cam Johnson to make a bigger impact. He hasn’t been the seamless fit that I expected early on in his Nuggets tenure, but if he can find his shot again, he has a higher defensive ceiling than ‘MPJ’ did.
It’s a good chance for Peyton Watson to prove himself right now as well. The young buck has had some nice moments this year. If he plays well enough for an extended period, though, there could even be a scenario where he ups his value ahead of the trade deadline.
Finally, DaRon Holmes, come on down. The Nuggets need the young guys to step up. We’ll see if anyone can.
