👋 Good Morning! I’ve only got a week left in my 20’s and I’m not going to lie… it feels really weird. I first interned for BSN Denver (DNVR) in 2016 as a 21-year-old know-it-all. Never in a million years did I think that it would lead to all of this. I’m really thankful for all of you who choose to support our work. And I’m thankful for DNVR for taking a chance on a baby-faced student reporter.

I’ve been a lot of cool places and experienced a lot of special things over the last decade or so. But if I had to pick my three favorite work experiences from my 20’s, it would be the following:

CSU-Alabama at Bryant-Denny Stadium (Football)
CSU-Duke in Cameron Indoor (Basketball)
2025 NHL Playoffs

Thanks for helping me to get to this point. We’ll see where the next decade takes me.

Are the Rockies so bad they’re actually becoming interesting?

Stop the presses! Prepare to hang the banner! The Colorado Rockies have done it.

It took 153 years of baseball. Haters said it couldn't be done. But the Rockies have proved that anything is possible when you truly set your mind to it. At 9-50 as of the morning of June 2, Colorado is the first team in MLB history to go into Game 60 with single-digit wins.

Don’t worry. We’re not going to talk about this team every day all summer. I wouldn’t subject you to that. It is genuinely baffling when you recognize the magnitude of how bad Rockies baseball is in 2025 though. They could win every game this month and still not be .500. And CSU men’s basketball, which hasn’t played in nine weeks, has twice as many wins this year as the baseball club at 20th and Blake.

For whatever reason I’ve actually found myself watching quite a bit of late. I guess if you’re going to be a train wreck, you might as well be the biggest one of all-time. It’s like I can’t seem to look away.
