What a gutsy and gritty win on Sunday.

Trailing by 14 in the second half and seemingly destined for yet another double-digit loss to the Eagles, Denver showed why they were such a popular preseason pick to make some noise this season with a comeback for the ages.

The 21-17 victory is Denver’s first road win over Philadelphia since 1986. It’s also easily the most impressive regular season win in a decade for the Broncos. Beating the Chiefs in 2023 and snapping that losing streak was a big deal as well and I know that folks will make a good case for it. But beating this Eagles squad in Philly, especially at this stage of the season, it has a chance to be the start of something special.

Philly made a few plays in this one and that’s no surprise. They’re a really good team. When the game was on the line, though, the Broncos held the Eagles scoreless over their last five possessions. And to the credit of Bo Nix and the Denver offense, they rallied in a major way, executed in the clutch and did just enough to steal the signature win of the Sean Payton era.

Going for 2 took some stones and Payton never flinched. It says a lot about what he thinks about this group, even after failing to finish against the Colts or Chargers.

Anything can happen from week to week. But if you can beat the Eagles in their own building, you can beat anyone. What an incredible moment for this up-and-coming team.

The NBA season is just around the corner. There’s clearly some work to be done though.

The Broncos FINALLY got Evan Engram involved on Sunday. Let’s hope it was a sign of what’s to come.

The Rams fell to 1-4 with another rough showing against San Diego State. Will an in-season firing spark anything?
