👋 Good Morning!

If you’ve followed my content over the years, one of the things I’m a big proponent of is enjoying the little things in life.

Life can get hard. Things can get intense on you in a moment’s notice. And that’s why the older that I get, the more and more I believe that the key to living your best life is by appreciating the small stuff.

It might sound dorky to some and that’s fine with me. But I get cheap pizza on Friday nights with my fiancé and it’s often the highlight of my week. I love simple stuff like mowing the lawn and walking my dog. I love ‘nerding out’ over sports with the diehards like you. I love random weekday regular season wins that don’t matter in the grand scheme of things but give us something to talk about for a few days.

We all have desires and aspirations for more. But you don’t have to be rich to be rich in life. As we enter the busy season here, I just wanted to take a moment and thank all of you for supporting everything we do at DNVR. It’s pretty dang cool if you ask me.

Bo Nix carved up the Cardinals this week

(Imagn)

The starters apparently won’t be playing this weekend, which is a bummer for the season ticket holders that the NFL forces to buy these preseason games. It also stinks for the local fans who were hoping to get a chance to see Trey McBride in action.

Grievances aside, with the ones not playing against Arizona Saturday night, the work that the Broncos and Cardinals got in during the combined practices is really what matters most this week. Zac Stevens was there for the action and wrote about what he saw on Thursday, including a strong showing from Bo Nix.

Some were worried after the starting offense didn’t look very sharp in the 49ers win last weekend but by all accounts — both Arizona and Denver media — Nix was locked in and sharp this week and displayed great chemistry with his receivers. In fact, one Cardinals reporter even made a comment about how Nix was spreading the ball around to all kinds of different players, while Kyler Murray was really only able to get the ball to McBride.

Nix is more polished than most young quarterbacks. He’s still human though. There are going to be days where he looks less impressive than he usually does, especially as opponents get more and more film on him. But I think we’ve seen by now that Nix has the right mentality. We don’t need to hit the panic button every time there’s a bad series or two this fall.

Check out this awesome piece from Zac for more details on Nix’s performance against the Cardinals.
