👋 Good Morning!

I’m still in awe of how the Broncos have managed to blow back-to-back games in excruciatingly annoying ways.

Wake me up when September ends.

Can Bo Nix make a leap?

(Imagn)

Bo Nix needs to be better.

This isn’t going to be a rant or some type of First Take segment. Nobody is advocating for him to be benched or anything dumb like that. But in two straight games that were there for the taking, Nix has been unable to deliver a victory.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not all on him. Sean Payton needs to be better as well. The Broncos are undisciplined across the board and that falls firmly on coaching. But missing three throws that should have been touchdowns is not what we’ve come to expect from the young gun. When we look back on these last two weeks come December, I think Nix would tell you himself that he wishes he could take about five plays back.

He’s shown all the right stuff over the last year-plus. It wouldn’t surprise me at all to see him respond in the upcoming weeks. And being fair to him, it’s not like he’s been bad. But the Broncos need Nix to elevate a level if this team is going to be a real threat in the AFC.

It’s a quarterback league. The Broncos will go as far as No. 10 can take them.

CU moved to .500 on the year with a late-night win over Wyoming on Saturday. The Buffs might have just solved their quarterback dilemma.

Jay Norvell pulled his third-year starting quarterback in the fourth quarter of Saturday’s loss to UTSA. The backup proceeded to lead the Rams on back-to-back scoring drives and gave CSU a chance to win.

Hockey is back and there was a lot that went down in the first two preseason matchups of the fall.

Dave Logan and Bennie Fowler have teamed up for an awesome new show. You’re not going to want to miss what these former NFL receivers have to say each week.
