👋 Good Morning!

The anticipation for Saturday is killing me. It’s been a long time since Broncos Country wanted a game as bad as this one and the build-up is always one of the most intense parts of the postseason.

It’s been an incredibly fun season. But I’m not ready for the party to end. If you’re looking for a spot to watch the game, come down to the DNVR Bar, where game day is always electric.

He can’t keep getting away with this

Let me start this by saying that Josh Allen is one of the best talents in the NFL today. And while I do not know him personally, by all accounts he seems to be a genuinely good dude off the field.

Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, I’d also like to say that I hate Josh Allen’s guts. The guy has been the bane of my existence for a decade now. So while I respect the heck out of him as a player, I hope that Allen has an absolutely awful day on Saturday.

Allen bullied my alma mater in college. He basically singlehandedly beat CSU in back-to-back years, killing a talented team’s hopes of competing for a conference title in the process. 2017 was particularly painful, because after watching my school lose a heartbreaker, I got to drive back to Fort Collins in a full-on white out. It wasn’t the worst night I had in college but it was far from the best.

In his NFL career, Allen is 3-1 against the Broncos, with all of the wins coming by double digits. Last year’s playoff game gave me Border War PTSD watching him move the ball at will.

Again, don’t get me wrong here, Allen is a stud quarterback. I just hope that his dryer shrinks his favorite shirt and his milk is always expired when he goes to have cereal. And more than anything, I hope that he gets to spend some real quality time with Nik Bonitto and Jonathon Cooper this weekend.

Allen is the type of player who can take over a game individually. The Broncos have to have to get in his face and make things hard on him. But if you allow him to break containment, that’s when it can get really scary for your defense.
