NBA trades have gotten out of hand. When did every deal start including five years worth of draft picks? Is this all Tim Connelly’s fault after the Rudy Gobert trade?
Don’t get me wrong, Desmond Bane is a nice addition for the Magic ahead of the upcoming NBA Draft. He fills a 3-point shooting need we’ve seen every analyst mention in their mocks when talking about Orlando this summer. But the concept of giving up a half-decade’s worth of draft capital for that level of player just makes me raise my eyebrows.
Oh… and I wish the Nuggets had some picks. The pre-draft process would be way more fun for the fans.

Football season is right around the corner and I can honestly say that this is the most excited I’ve been about the Broncos in a decade.
Maybe I’m just drinking the Kool-aid as a season ticket holder. But you felt something change with this team in 2024. You felt the swagger return. And for the first time since at least 2016, there was a belief in that stadium every Sunday that was genuine. The atmosphere was closer to the glory days than the dog days of Joseph, Hackett, etc.
Bo Nix made a believer in me. He made a believer out of a lot of us in Broncos Country. I cannot wait to see where he takes this team in year two. Winning the division feels like a realistic possibility for the first time in what feels like forever though.
