👋 Good Morning!
Nikola Jokić going down with a knee injury left me speechless. His durability over the years is probably something we’ve taken for granted. Like all of you, I’m simply hoping for the best at this point.
Whatever higher power you believe in, do what you can to try and drum up some good vibes in the universe. We’re going to need them.

Is this the best team we’ve ever seen?

The Colorado Avalanche are on pace to produce the most dominant regular season of all-time. With two days remaining in 2025, the Avs have just two regulation losses through the first 38 matchups of the season. And following Monday’s 5-2 win over Los Angeles, Colorado has now won eight straight overall and 14 straight at Ball Arena.
With another couple of points in last night’s victory, including an empty-net goal for good measure, Nathan MacKinnon is up to 66 points and a league-leading 32 goals on the year. ‘Nate Dogg’ needs just one more goal to reach 400 in his career.
MacKinnon has always been considered one of the league’s top players but for more much of his career it’s been followed with a caveat that he isn’t Connor McDavid. I’ll admit that guy in Edmonton is pretty damn special — a generational goal-scorer even. What No. 29 has been doing for the Avs, though, is on another level. MacKinnon has been the best player in the world this season.
The Avs are doing things we’ve never seen before. The power play is maddening at times, but their dominance in 5v5 is unprecedented.
If you’re not following the Avs this winter, you’re genuinely missing out.
Come to the DNVR Bar
Come celebrate New Year’s Eve at the DNVR Bar! There’s no better place to watch both the Nuggets and the Avalanche.

The Nuggets looked shell-shocked after Jokić went down last night and it’s tough to blame them. Jamal Murray said it himself, the big man isn’t a big part of what the Nuggets do, he’s essentially everything.

R.J. Harvey was a full participant in practice. Check out what Sean Payton had to say about his situation as the Broncos go into the playoffs.

The Avs honestly played about a C- game last night and still won by 3. This group is on a heater like I’ve never seen before.
