Jamal Murray has looked like an All Star out of the gate.

Typically a guy who gets it going as the season progresses, the veteran guard seems to have come into the year in terrific shape. And while I don’t want to get too lofty based on a small sample size, the way he’s been shooting the ball has reminded me a little bit of what we saw from him in the bubble.

The Nuggets haven’t had two representatives in the All Star Game since the 2009-10 season when both Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups got the nod. Melo and Allen Iverson both made it in 2006-07 and 2007-08 as well.

There’s obviously a ton of basketball to be played between now and February. And honestly, nobody really cares about the game itself. It would just be pretty cool to see Murray get his moment this year. He’s had some monster performances in his career but will always be in the shadow of Nikola Jokić.

Victor Oloffson scored the first hat trick of his career in last night’s 8-4 win over the New Jersey Devils. I wasn’t sure how big of a contribution he’d make this season. The 30-year-old is on pace to double his career-high in points though.
