Denver is decked out in Orange & Blue. If you a chance to check out Larimer Square, it looks stellar right now in preparation for the big game on Saturday.

This isn’t the first time that I’ve written this over the years, but the city is a more vibrant place when the Broncos are a contender. There’s an energy around town that’s palpable.

Good news dropped yesterday regarding the health status of Nikola Jokić.

According to NBA insider Shams Charania, Jokić has already resumed on-court workouts. He seems to be ahead of schedule with the rehab process after hyperextending his left knee on Dec. 29.

While it’s great to hear the big man is feeling good enough to get some time back on the court, what’s encouraging is that the Nuggets have handled the situation well. They’ve actually moved up in the standings and are now 6-3 since Jokić went down.

I’m not saying that Denver would have gone winless in this difficult stretch in past seasons, but the depth and resilience they’ve shown is just different this year. It’s highly impressive how competitive this team is right now, especially with Jonas Valanciunas also going down and Christian Braun working through an ankle injury.

David Adelman continues to impress.

As a CSU alumnus, Josh Allen has been a pain in my ass for a decade now. He’s easily the most scary part of this matchup against the Bills.
