👋 Good Morning!

With the holiday season here, I’m going to throw a take at you real quick. Diehard is not a Christmas movie because the date has no real impact on the storyline. It’s the same movie if it’s on the 4th of July or some random day in March.

Sorry, I’m a little delirious this morning after the Nuggets and Avalanche both starting at 8:00 p.m. MT.

Have a great weekend.

Keep fueling our fire

The Denver Broncos are 11-2. So why are the national pundits and oddsmakers so hesitant to buy into this team?

Despite coming into Sunday’s game against Green Bay with a 10-game winning streak overall and having won 11 straight games at Mile High going back to last season, the Broncos are home underdogs once again.

“I don’t really pay attention to that,” Sean Payton said in response to Denver being listed as high as 2.5 point underdogs on Sunday. “We know we’re playing a good football team, so that’s something we have no control over.”

Bo Nix joked that his mom thinks the Broncos will win, so that’s what matters to him. It’s clear, though, that despite the success the team is having this season, the Broncos are still very much a group with a chip on their shoulders.

DNVR’s Zac Stevens had a great write-up on what the guys in the organization are saying right now. He dove into the historical significance of an NFL team being home underdog despite having won 10 straight as well.

I don’t know about you guys, but I love the idea of this talented team feeling like the world is against them. I hope that it stays that way. It’s nothing but fuel for the fire.

12 Days of Giftmas

We’ve teamed up with Dick’s Sporting Goods to spread some serious holiday cheer! For 12 days straight, one lucky fan will score $100 worth of prizes — a $50 gift card to Dick’s + a $50 gift card to the ALLCITY merch store.

The Nuggets murdered the Kings in what felt like the 100th game between these teams this season.

DNVR Nuggets Postgame

This isn’t quite the same version of Florida that’s won back-to-back titles. Beating the defending champs is always a nice little feather in the cap though.

DNVR Avalanche Postgame

Marvin Mims has been electric in the return game since the Broncos took him out of Oklahoma a few years back. His talent was on full display in this most recent win over the Raiders.
