👋 Good Morning!

I’d like to start by saying Happy Veteran’s Day. From all of us at DNVR, thank you to anyone who serves / has served in the military.

Listen to Alex Singleton: Go see a doctor

(Imagn)

What a warrior.

Alex Singleton found out that he had testicular cancer, played all 60 defensive snaps against the Raiders on Thursday Night Football and then had surgery the following morning to remove the tumor.

After everything that he’s been through, Singleton is now raising awareness for early detection and encouraging people to not be afraid to go the doctor. It’s pretty remarkable on multiple levels.

I admire Singleton’s public vulnerability during such a scary time. It’s no secret that a lot of men especially are not great about getting regular check-ups. I know that I could definitely be better about it. And If you’re in the same boat, I encourage you to try and break the habit as well. If not for you, for the people who love you.

Zac Stevens has more details on the situation and quotes from the inside linebacker in his latest piece. It’s unlocked and free to read for everyone. It’s definitely worth your time.
