👋 Good Morning!

It was a pretty epic weekend of college football around the state.

Colorado, Colorado State, and even Northern Colorado all pulled significant upsets within their respective conferences. Congrats to all of the alumni around the state. Mondays are always a little better when you get to rep your team with pride.

Lived to fight another day

Ugly wins count the same.

Sunday’s game against the Jets was admittedly a tough watch. The offense was brutal on both sides. And despite winning in the end, the Broncos shot themselves in the foot repeatedly with penalties. It was just an ugly game.

Optics aside, in what was the textbook definition of a trap game, Denver was able to go overseas and do just enough to escape with a win. The defense saved the day and used Justin Fields as their personal tackling dummy. Nine sacks? Nine?!? I almost felt bad for him by the end.

Obviously there is much to clean up. But fortunately, four of the next five are in Denver, and the roadtrip is Houston, which feels winnable as well.

Now is the perfect time to try and sort through some of the offensive inconsistencies and hopefully stack some key wins. If the Broncos are going to push for the AFC West crown, they are going to need to be great at home and steal a divisional game or two on the road.

I was hoping for a more aesthetically pleasing performance against a truly awful team but the London games are almost always bad, so I really don’t think it’s worth overreacting. I do think 11+ wins is on the table, though, so I’m much more concerned with what happens over the next month and a half.

Come Tailgate With DNVR

We’ve got the best tailgate in the city. If you’ve never spent a Sunday with us, you’re truly missing out.

Come chow down on some great grub, maybe have an ice-cold beverage or two, and enjoy the perfect Colorado fall weather on Sunday.

It’s been a rollercoaster of a season for the Buffs at the quarterback position. After Saturday’s big win, are things looking up?

I’ve never seen a passing offense as incompetent as what the Jets are doing this season. It makes the Tebow era look impressive.

Did we all write off the Rams prematurely? Friday’s 49-21 win over Fresno State might indicate so.

Ain’t she a beaut?
