Last night’s win over the 76ers is in the conversation for my favorite regular season win of all-time.

Denver went into Philadelphia without its starting five — a roster of misfit toys that included a handful of G-league players — and the Nuggets proceeded to grind out a gutsy overtime win against a 76ers squad that’s really been playing well of late (125-124).

It’s pretty much survival mode until the best player in the world comes back. But so far the Nuggets have managed to go 2-2 without Nikola Jokić. And seeing Zeke Nnaji, Hunter Tyson and Jalen Pickett give Philly fits felt like we were watching a made-for-TV sports movie. It was a really fun game.

David Adelman has been dealt a tough hand in his first full season as a head coach. It’s been impressive to see the way he’s been able to adjust on the fly. If he can keep the boat afloat enough to stay in the top four in the West, ‘DA’ should get some love for the NBA Coach of the Year.

Nik Bonitto is having another phenomenal season for the Broncos. He’s also doing great things off of the field.
