👋 Good Morning!
It’s not official but Jamal Murray is going to be named an All-Star for the first time in his career. I know the game no longer is a good product, however, it’s very cool to see him putting together this type of season. It’s not talked enough how special it is that the Nuggets drafted and developed their stars in-house.
We don’t skip steps.

So you’re saying that there’s a chance?

The Denver Broncos are 4-1 all-time against the New England Patriots in the postseason and undefeated at home. While he’s certainly the most accomplished quarterback in NFL history, even the great Tom Brady couldn’t win a January game in Mile High. It’s just not an easy thing to do.
Obviously you know why pundits and even fans are now skeptical of Denver. Bo Nix has been a big part of the team’s success and losing him was massive. But if anybody thinks the Broncos are going to just roll over, they haven’t been paying close enough attention.
For all of the excuses that the media made for Josh Allen and his supposed lack of weapons, the Broncos won on Saturday without J.K. Dobbins. Not to mention that Troy Franklin and Pat Bryant were both ruled out early. Nix balled out anyways — though you wouldn’t know it based on the postgame whining from the national crowd who had their hearts set on the Buffalo storyline.
Dre Greenlaw has missed time this year, so have Pat Surtain and Alex Singleton, and Brandon Jones is unfortunately done for the season. The point is that Denver has continually found a way.
There is no doubt losing your QB is a bigger deal than any of the aforementioned individuals. But as you’ll hear on every talk show in town this week, Sean Payton went 5-1 with Teddy Bridgewater in 2019 and 5-2 with Jameis Winston in 2021 while Drew Brees was injured.
The brain trust of Payton and Davis Webb will put Jarrett Stidham in a favorable scheme. Can the defense stop the run with some consistency and pressure Drake Maye like we all know they’re capable of? If so, the Broncos can win this game on Sunday.
The margin for error is thinner but there is absolutely a path to victory.

The Avs got back to their winning ways with a convincing 5-2 win over Washington on Monday afternoon. Nathan MacKinnon recorded his 1,100th career point in the victory.

Denver hit all the right notes with the team’s offseason acquisitions. The biggest has arguably been Tim Hardaway Jr.
