👋 Good Morning!
Can somebody explain to me why the ‘tush push’ is legal and yet the Broncos lost a game for a highly ambiguous leverage penalty on Sunday?
If the goal is to protect the players, which is why the defensive and special teams units aren’t allowed to push off of lineman, I don’t understand how the Eagles are allowed to use this rugby play offensively.
It’s sour grapes, I get it. But the rules at the moment really don’t make much sense to me.

Sunday’s matchup with the Chargers will have significant AFC West implications

(Imagn)
The AFC West looks like the best division in football. Between the quality of the coaching and the quarterback play, it’s going to be a gauntlet this year. That’s why Sunday’s loss to the Colts was so frustrating.
The Chargers have a chance to be 3-0 in the division before we’ve even gotten out of September. And while the Raiders looked less impressive last night than they did in Week 1, they’re going to be formidable under Pete Carroll so long as they’ve got a run game. Plus, the Chiefs are still the Chiefs, so count them out at your own peril.
The Broncos should be right there in the mix come December and January. One dumb loss doesn’t shift expectations or anything like that. The schedule only gets more difficult though.
The Chargers seem to have made a leap under Jim Harbaugh this fall. Sunday’s game in Los Angeles is an opportunity for Denver to secure a quality win and keep pace in what’s shaping up to be a hell of a race for the division crown.
I believe the Broncos are talented enough to make a real run in this 2025-26 campaign. Can they show some resilience and take down a team that’s playing with a ton of confidence? This upcoming matchup with the Chargers is a big test.
Gear up for the fall
There’s never been a better time than now to gear up for the fall. Take advantage of these incredible deals and snag whatever merchandise you’ve had yours eyes on.

Jay Norvell took a look at some other options at quarterback during CSU’s bye week but the Rams will still be starting Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi in a big-time matchup against UTSA on Saturday night.
“He’s been our quarterback and he is our quarterback,” Norvell told the media on Monday.
‘BFN’ is only averaging 156 passing yards per game in 2025. The Roadrunners have struggled to stop the pass though. He could be in for a breakout performance.

The Rox begin the final homestand of the season tonight. Still needing one more win to avoid tying Chicago for the worst record in MLB history, it could be a good time to have the Marlins in town.
Colorado swept Miami in their park back in early June. We’ll see if the Rockies can find similar success this time around.

Sean Payton puts the loss to the Colts on coaching. I’m inclined to agree with him.
