👋 Good Morning!
In honor of the Broncos-Eagles matchup on Sunday, it feels like a good time to remind the fine folks of Philadelphia that Joel Embiid has not played a game in the Mile High City since 2019.
Maybe this year will be different.

The Broncos are due for some better luck in Philly & Sean Payton might be the man to deliver it

(Imagn)
The Broncos are just 5-9 all-time against the Eagles. The last time they won in Philadelphia was all the way back in 1986, when Denver went into the city of brotherly love and thrashed the Birds 33-7.
Unfortunately for the Orange & Blue, the last four trips to ‘Philly’ haven’t exactly been a walk in the park. In fact it’s been more like a a house of horrors, as the Broncos have lost those four games by an average of 20 points. The only game that was even remotely competitive in Philadelphia over the last three decades was a 30-27 loss back in 2009, which some of you might remember as the day Brandon Stokley got ejected for accidentally making contact with an official while arguing a call.
Oddly enough, the Eagles have struggled just as much in Denver. Philly throttled Denver back in 2021 but lost by four score in 2013, 2005 and 1998.
The history says don’t hold your breath, but we’ve got to be due for a good game between these teams at some point, right? The Eagles are rocking an 18-game winning streak. Beating a team like them on the road would be the signature moment of the Sean Payton era so far.
