The Nuggets are getting the best version of Jamal Murray

Jamal Murray has been a top 20 player in the NBA this season. I’m running out of creative ways to say that he should absolutely be an All-Star.
In Denver’s 126-115 victory over Orlando on Thursday night, Murray scored a game-high 32 points to help lead the Nuggets to a sixth consecutive victory. He continues to score with impressive efficiency despite averaging 25 points per game this year — a career-best.
Nikola Jokić is the best player in the world and he’s done this thing all season long. The biggest reason that Denver has won six straight while missing two key starters, though, has been the consistency night to night from Murray.
He’s always been a dangerous scorer. He’s always been a ‘gamer’ who can turn it on for a primetime matchup. The difference this season is that Murray is doing it night after night. There have been no sluggish stretches or games where he disappears. And he came into the season seemingly in the best shape of his career.
This is the best version of Murray we’ve ever seen. It’s been fun to watch.
