👋 Good Morning!
What an awesome weekend of football. Three straight games that came down to the final possession, plus another embarrassing postseason showing from the Chargers, who genuinely looked no better with Justin Herbert on the field than they did in Denver last weekend with the backups.
I’m nervous for this weekend. It feels electric to be back in this position though. I cannot wait for Saturday.

The stage is set for the Denver Broncos

(Imagn)
The Divisional Round is now set and the Denver Broncos will officially be hosting the Buffalo Bills in a rematch of last year’s Wild Card matchup.
In a different universe, Josh Allen might have landed in Denver back in the 2018 NFL Draft. We all know that John Elway certainly liked him. But for whatever reason, it wasn’t meant to be. And now instead it’s young Bo Nix who will look to take the Broncos back to the promised land.
As scary as the optics of going up against Allen are — he’s the best remaining QB in the field — the key to this game for both teams is going to be the run game. James Cook took home the rushing crown this season, leading the league with 1,621 yards on the ground. So finding a way to limit his impact and make Allen lean on a receiving corp that is average at best is going to be paramount.
And for the Broncos, who haven’t had much of a run game without J.K. Dobbins, Sean Payton has got to find a way to establish some type of rhythm with the rushing attack. I have more faith in Bo Nix than most but it can’t all be on him if this team is going to make a real run at the Super Bowl.
It’s been a great season to this point, but in a year that feels truly wide-open, it’s all there for the taking. Time for the Broncos to seize the moment and prove the national doubters wrong.
