👋 Good Morning!
My apologies if this triggers anyone’s cravings but in honor of the Halloween season, give some love to the more underrated candies this month.
Everybody loves the hits, the Reese’s and Snickers of the world, but when was the last time you had a Mr. Goodbar? It’s the undrafted free agent who goes on to play 15 years in the league. It’s a fundamentally sound player who could make an impact in any generation of the game.

The Times They Are A-Changin’

(Imagn)
Has anyone checked Hell to see if it has frozen over? Can pigs fly now? Because yesterday the Rockies announced that the next general manager will be an external hire and not someone from within the organization.
Alright that might be a little bit dramatic. But for the first time since the Rox hired Dan O’Dowd all the way back in 1999, the team will actually bring a new perspective to the table. It’s a refreshing change from the typical stubbornness that we’ve seen throughout the Monfort era.
While the Rockies are easily multiple years away from being a team that should be expected to compete, this next hire is pivotal in the process. The club has a promising prospect to build the future of the team around in Ethan Holliday, but they need someone who not only has an eye for talent but can also change the way the Rockies operate from top to bottom.
Valid grips over ownership aside, there are plenty of small market teams who compete with far more consistency. Just look at Milwaukee, Tampa Bay, etc.
There’s a long way to go if the Rockies are ever going to change perception. Step one is admitting you need to change though.
Don’t miss out on the fun!

The Broncos left some meat on the bones Monday night. That easily could have been a 40-point win. But it was really nice to see the way they moved the chains with consistency all game long.
