👋 Good Morning!

The Rockies snapped an eight-game losing skid yesterday. It’s nothing to celebrate but it’s something, I guess.

Congrats to Kyle Freeland on becoming just the third pitcher in franchise history to record 900 strikeouts with the team. He’s been up and down throughout his career. It’s hard not to root for the homegrown kid though.

With six weeks to go, we’ll see if the Rox can avoid going down as the worst team in MLB history.

The top 5 logos in Colorado sports history

(Imagn)

What is your favorite Colorado sports logo of all-time?

On the DNVR Avalanche Podcast yesterday, we debated the topic after discussing the team’s move from Quebec to Denver 30 years ago. If you missed the show, Eric Lacroix’s perspective on his father, Pierre, and everything that went into the team’s relocation to Colorado is fascinating to hear.

In honor of the start of the season, though, here is a little power ranking of the best logos in Colorado sports history.

  1. Classic Broncos D (I mean, this is THE logo)

  2. Nuggets Skyline (Iconic to this day)

  3. CSU / CU (Both schools have great colors & unique logos)

  4. Rockie Hockey (They used the flag before it was cool)

  5. Colorado Rockies original primary logo (Bring it back cowards)

We’re pretty fortunate to have solid logos across the board. Hopefully we’ll all be wearing them with pride over the next year or so.
