👋 Good Morning!
Is the ‘U’ back?
Miami’s run to the National Championship has been extremely impressive. But more than anything, I’m just enjoying seeing some different teams be in the mix to win it all.
College football has plenty of flaws right now. But that fourth quarter was absolutely electric. Let’s hope the Indiana-Oregon matchup is equally as fun.

The wagon rolls on: Avs bully Senators as home winning streak extends to 16

(Imagn)
The Ottawa Senators got punched in the face and stuffed in a locker by Josh Manson and the Colorado Avalanche last night.
After jumping out to an early 2-0 lead, the Avs preceded to throttle the ‘Sens’ with a six-goal second period. The 8-2 win is Colorado’s seventh straight over the Senators, and gives the Avs a record of 10-0-1 in the last 11 against Ottawa.
The win also extends Colorado’s home streak to 16 games. The Avs are 18-0-2 overall at Ball Arena this season, which is just absurd. The home-ice advantage for this team is as real as it is for anybody in the league. And they absolutely put it on a bad team last night.
I won’t fixate on this because the Senators are not worth giving a second thought — they’re a largely irrelevant team that plays bad hockey — but they really showed big-time loser energy with the way they took unnecessary runs at Sam Girard and even Scott Wedgewood.
Shoutout to Manson for playing the game of his career. A Gordie Howe hat-trick, a 4-point night, and another fight where the opponent likely questioned all of his choices after. I love the way he plays the game.
