👋 Good Morning!

This has been one of the weirdest college football seasons in quite some time. The selection process for the Playoff has never been messier though.

Just bring back the BCS rankings and use those to determine the teams. As the great Mike Leach once ranted about, when has a committee ever made anything better?

There are levels to this

(Imagn)

This is the best version of Jamal Murray we’ve ever seen.

In nearly a decade with the Nuggets to this point, Murray has had some awesome stretches. He was big-time in the 2023 championship run and even better in the 2020 bubble games. This version of Murray, though, is something we’ve never seen. His consistency as a scorer and overall impact have just been on another level.

Murray was named the NBA’s Western Conference Player of the Week on Monday for the first time in his career. He’s the first Nugget other than Nikola Jokić to receive the honor since 2018.

The 28-year-old guard is averaging career-highs across the board through the first quarter of the season. He’s scoring 25 points per game on 51% shooting from the floor and 45% from 3-point range. He’s also dishing out about seven assists each night and pulling down the most defensive rebounds per game of his career (4).

The voting process for the All-Star Game tends to be a popularity contest, but Murray deserves the honor this season. I hope to see him gets the recognition he deserves for the dominance that he’s displaying.

Host your holiday party at the DNVR Bar

The holiday season is here. If you want to avoid the hassle of hosting or maybe get out of the office, host your party this winter at the DNVR Bar!

The Chiefs are out of the mix for the top spot in the AFC West.

Valeri Nichushkin has always been a key piece for the Avs. He’s playing some great hockey right now though.

Jevin Muniz has done a little bit of everything for CSU this season. I wrote about his impact after another great performance in the win over CU.

There’s a new sheriff in town.

The Nuggets have now won 10 straight road games after taking down the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday (115-106).

What an atmosphere
