👋 Good Morning!
Denver sports teams are a combined 28-5-5 right now. They’re 11-1 in the month of November.
The vibes are immaculate right now.

We are witnessing true greatness

(Imagn)
Nikola Jokić is one of one. He’s the most individually dominant athlete I’ve ever been fortunate to write about. And while he still needs to win another title for it to be a take that’s universal, there’s no doubt in my mind he’s already one of the 10 best basketball players to ever step on a court. I’m biased but I believe he’s closer to Jordan than he is to being outside of that conversation.
Scoring 55 points on just 23 shot attempts would be a crazy night for most guys in the league. But that’s just what Jokić does. He goes out and he puts up an absurd stat line that looks like something you’d see in a video game. Then somehow he tops it the next game with another remarkable performance.
I’m paraphrasing here but my friend and colleague Ryan Koensberg once said that he might just have to stop watching hoops after Jokić retires because once you’ve seen the game played perfectly, everything else will just seem unappealing. It’s obviously tongue in cheek, however, the sentiment is so real.
We are witnessing true greatness. Never take it for granted that the best player in the world is a Denver Nugget.

The Nuggets are 8-2 on the year now after a successful two-game trip out to California.
Our own Brendan Vogt has been in his bag this season with his coverage of the team. If you’re not a Diehard yet, his coverage alone would be worst the subscription.

It’s unknown exactly how much time that J.K. Dobbins is going to miss for the Broncos with his foot injury. It could mean we see a more substantial role for rookie RJ Harvey though.

See you at the tailgate

Sunday’s game against the Chiefs is the biggest in years. If you’re going to be at Mile High, show up early and hit up the best tailgate in the city.
We’ve got wings from Fire on the Mountain, ice-cold beer and immaculate vibes.
